Tony d’Agostino

He once worked in the healthcare field, building nursing homes and hospitals around the world. After twelve years, however, he decided it was time to leave his comfort zone and embark on a new challenge. Meet Project Manager France, Tony d’Agostino.

I was impressed by Bulsink’s professional working methods, tools and level of innovation.”

Can you introduce yourself?

“My name is Tony d’Agostino. I’m 37 years old and work as a Project Manager for Bulsink in Paris, where I also live together with my wife and our two-year-old son Francesco. We are expecting our second child this summer.”

“I’m passionate about sports – as passionate as I am about construction. I’ve been playing rugby since I was eight years old. I also love fishing and enjoy spending time with my family.“

How and why did you end up working at Bulsink?

“I was already working as a Project Manager in the healthcare field, building nursing homes and hospitals all around the world. Throughout Europe, in South America, in China. After twelve years, however, I decided it was time to leave my comfort zone and go for this new challenge.”

“I didn’t know Bulsink to be honest. They had just opened up their Paris office and I saw the job opening on LinkedIn. Their website, with all these employee stories, gave me a good first impression. And that was confirmed by the personal contact that followed. All of the talks went very smoothly, and during my visit to the headquarters in the Netherlands, I was impressed by Bulsink’s professional working methods, tools and level of innovation.”

“The company feels a bit like a family. Everybody is open, accessible and helpful – from direct colleagues to the top management.”

The sooner we finish our work, the sooner our clients are back in business.”

What can you tell us about your work as a Project Manager?

“As a Project Manager, I’m responsible for leading the entire project. Defining the scope of work and doing the planning. Safeguarding the quality. Monitoring the budget. Minimising safety risks at the building site. Organising everything and connecting everyone involved in the project, both internally and externally.”

“The sooner we finish our work, the sooner our clients are back in business. So one major plus compared to other contracters is that we’re always trying to work faster than fast. We do that by continuously improving our working methods and optimising the way we organise things.”

The Bulsink organisation uses B.U.I.L.D. as its core values: Brand-conscious, Ultra-fast, Inspiring, Leading and Determined. Can you pick one or two of these core values and explain what they mean to you?

“Determined. Nothing is impossible to us; no challenge is too big. We never hesitate to embrace new technologies or to innovate in other ways if we see them as opportunities to improve.”

“And Leading. Clients give us the keys to their buildings. They trust us with their projects. That gives us the responsibility to lead the team towards the desired results.”
