JOB DESCRIPTION

As an Operations Manager, you are the driving force behind the day-to-day management of our Retail projects. You are responsible for ensuring that multiple finishing projects run smoothly and efficiently, from preparation to delivery. With your knowledge and expertise, you ensure that projects are completed within the schedule and budget and with a high-quality end result. As an Operations Manager, you are in close contact with your clients and are an important point of contact. You are commercially minded, actively contribute ideas, know how to manage expectations effectively and help build long-term client relationships.

You will directly manage a team of Project Managers and Project Engineers, among others, and act as a connecting link between different departments. You will guide and coach your team where necessary, encourage personal development and promote knowledge sharing, so that everyone can grow in their role.

In addition, you will monitor the planning, progress, quality, safety and return on investment of all ongoing projects. You will identify deviations in a timely manner, deal with them appropriately and ensure that agreements are clearly recorded.

In short: a versatile role in which your leadership, organisational talent and professional knowledge come together to realise successful retail projects.

Your core responsibilities as an Operations Manager Retail include:

  • Managing, supervising and coaching the project team, consisting of Project Managers and Project Engineers.
  • Final responsibility for the daily operation of multiple retail projects.
  • Monitoring and adjusting planning, capacity, budget, quality, safety and return on investment for ongoing projects.
  • Assessing projects from a technical, organisational and financial perspective and identifying risks and deviations in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring smooth project progress from preparation to delivery, including the correct recording of agreements.
  • Acting as a connecting link between departments and ensuring clear communication and effective cooperation.

Your profile?

Through your knowledge, organisational skills and coaching abilities, you consistently deliver projects to great success. In addition, you have:

  • HBO or university degree in Architecture, Engineering or Business Administration.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the construction sector, including several years in a managerial role.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Financial insight and problem-solving skills.
  • Are you proactive, independent and decisive.
  • Have a proficiency in both Dutch and English.
